J&K: CRPF vehicle skidded off road, injuring 19 personnel in Budgam

Srinagar: At least 19 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured, two of them seriously, after their vehicle skidded off the road in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday, officials said.

The ill-fated vehicle carrying the CRPF personnel skidded off the road and fell down to a gorge near Police Station Pakherpora Khaigam, resulting in injuries to 19 personnel, two of them critically.

The injured were shifted to nearby Charar-e-Sharief hospital for treatment, where nine of them have been shifted to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) hospital Srinagar for further treatment.

Soon after the accident, a rescue operation was launched to evacuate the injured to the nearby health facility, they said.
