JMB members taken from MP

Bhopal: Two individuals taken from Madhya Pradesh by West Bengal Police – on the basis of a production warrant – owe allegiance to the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh and not the Al-Qaeda militant organisation, state Home Minister Narottam Mishra clarified on Friday.

“The twosome are Jahiruddin and Jainul Abdin,” Dr Mishra told media representatives here.

The Minister’s statement comes in the wake of a section of the press reporting earlier in the day that a couple of Al-Qaeda suspects were apprehended in this city.
