JP Nadda holds meeting with top BJP leaders to discuss outcome of Lok Sabha election

New Delhi: As the NDA alliance is all set to form the government for the third time, BJP President JP Nadda held a key meeting at his residence here on Thursday.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP Organisation Secretary BL Santhosh, and other senior leaders were present in the meeting.

The meeting was convened a day after NDA leaders unanimously choose Narendra Modi as their alliance leader.

According to party sources, the meeting will focus on organisational changes at Centre and State units and the outcome of Lok Sabha election 2024, especially, Uttar Pradesh where BJP only managed to bag 33 out of 80 seats.

On the other hand, several JD(U) leaders have also arrived at the party president and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s residence in the National capital.

On Friday, the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting is likely to be held here where newly elected MPs of BJP, TDP, JDU, LJP (R), Shiv Sena (Shinde Faction), JD(S) and other constituent parties of NDA are expected to attend it.

During the NDA meeting at PM residence yesterday, a resolution was passed unanimously by the NDA leaders to elect Modi as their alliance leader.

“India’s 140 crore countrymen have seen the country developing in every field in the last 10 years due to the public welfare policies of the NDA government under the leadership of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi”, said the resolution.

It said, “after a very long gap, almost 6 decades, the people of India have elected a strong leadership with an absolute majority for the third consecutive time”.

“We all are proud that NDA fought and won the 2024 Lok Sabha election unitedly under the leadership of respected Shri Narendra Modi ji.

We all unanimously choose respected NDA leader Shri Narendra Modi as our leader” it stated.
