Lok Sabha adjourned amid Oppn ruckus

New Delhi: Lok Sabha was adjourned till 1400 hours on Wednesday amid uproar by Opposition on Adani issue.

As soon as the House assembled for the day, the MPs from Opposition trooped into the well and raised slogans against the ruling dispensation.

Presiding Officer Rajendra Agrawal dissaproved their conduct and said, “Question Hour is always very important. Please go back to your seat.”

He then adjourned the House till 1400 hours amid sloganeering by the Opposition members.

Several Opposition parties have been demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the Hindenburg Research report over Adani Group.

The Hindenburg Research report alleged that Adani Group had engaged in stock manipulation and accounting fraud scheme over the course of decades.

Earlier this morning, a meeting of the ‘like-minded’ Opposition parties was held at the chamber of Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge here on Wednesday.

Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party and AAP were among those who attended the meeting.
