Maha: DyCM Ajit Pawar reviews development projects at ‘PMU’ meet

Mumbai: Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar instructed senior officials to construct high-quality, sophisticated facilities like bridges and buildings that last for 100 years at the ‘Deputy Chief Minister’s Project Monitoring Unit’ (PMU) meeting in Mantralya.

The meeting of the ‘Deputy Chief Minister’s Project Control Room’ was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Pawar on Wednesday evening.

For the overall development of Maharashtra, infrastructure development works are underway in the state on a large scale, an official statement said on Thursday.

During the meeting, Pawar reviewed the progress of the projects, including Pune Metro Lines 1, 2, and 3, Skywalk and Tiger Point at Lonavla, Government Medical College at Satara and Usar (Alibag), Revus-Ready Sea Highway, Mirkarwada Fort at Ratnagiri, Radio Club of Mumbai, Pune Bypass Road, and GST Bhawan at Wadala, Pune. Nashik High-Speed Railway, headquarters of the ‘Sarathy’ organisation in Pune.

Construction of regional sub-centres of ‘Sarathy’ at Aundh, Nashik, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Amravati, Krishi Bhavan at Pune, Kamgar Kalyan Bhawan, Sahakar Bhawan, Registration Bhavan, Indrayani Medici, Science Innovation City at Pimpri-Chinchwad, Swarajrakshak Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Memorial at Vadhu-Tulapur, Olympic Bhawan, and Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University sub-centre at Baramati.

He also directed the senior officers to speed up all these projects.

The meeting was attended by top officials from various departments, including Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare, Finance Department Additional Chief Secretary (Expenditure), Revenue Department Additional Chief Secretary Rajagopal Deora, Public Works Department Manisha Mhaiskar, Agriculture Department Additional Chief Secretary Anup Kumar, Planning Department Principal Secretary Saurabh Vijay, and Urban Development Department Principal Secretary Asim Kumar Gupta.
