Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Maharashtra State Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that this government is committed to solving the various problems of the Rajput community, the word ‘Bhamta’ will be removed from the Rajput community and it will be followed up to the Centre.
Mr Shinde was speaking last night in a function of Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap Singh Mahasamelan which was organized in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar City on behalf of the entire Rajput community.
On this occasion Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh Union minister of state for Railways Mr Raosaheb Danve, Union Minister of State for Finance Dr. Bhagwat Karad, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Guardian Minister Sandipan Bhumre, Agriculture Minister Abdul Sattar, Cooperation Minister Atul Save, Leader of Opposition Ambadas Danve , MLA Jayakumar Rawal and other dignitaries were present.
Mr Shinde said that Maharana Pratap Singh and Shivaji Maharaj were adventurers. Maharana Pratap Singh also taught war lessons to the Sangadas. Common people liked it. Maharana Pratap Singh given fight to Akbar’s army. Both these pious kings passed away in their land.
The Chief Minister assured that this government is committed to solving the demands of the Rajput community by saying that we are moving forward with his example. After announcing that the state government has agreed to the demand to remove the word ‘Bhamta’ from the Rajput community, it will now follow up with the Centre.
Chief Minister Shinde also said that a financial corporation of the Rajput community will be established and a grand equestrian statue of Maharana Pratap will be erected, he added.
Union Minister Mr Singh also expressed the hope that the tenure of Maharana Pratap should be known as Maharana Pratap period instead of Mughal period.Maharana Pratap Singh had a sense of national pride. He spent his life in the forest. These fighters are the epitome of Maharana Pratap Singh’s pride. Maharana Pratap was as important as he was five hundred years ago, he is still important today, he will be important even after thousands of years,added Mr Singh.
