Nagpur: The three-day Civil20 Inception Conference under India’s G20 presidency is being hosted at Nagpur from Monday onwards at Hotel Radisson Blue.
Well-known spiritual guru Mata Amritanandmayi is C-20 India Chair, she will inaugurate the international event at 3 pm.
Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi and other dignitaries will share the dais.
The C-20 meet, one of the components of G20, will be discussing role of civil society organisations in steering the society towards achieving sustainable development goals.
Apart from the inaugural function, the meet will witness plenary sessions.
The foreign delegates from G20 member countries arrived Nagpur on Sunday evening for the conference.
About 250 representatives of civil society from G20 member countries and other countries will participate in this conference.
The G20 comprises Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the UK, the US and the European Union.
