Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Government has appointed senior IAS officer N.Muruganandam as the new Chief Secretary of the State.
He replaces incumbent Shiv Das Meena, who was appointed as the Chairperson of the
Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority.
After the government issued an order to this effect last night, Mr Muruganandam assumed
charge as the new Chief Secretary on Monday.
Mr Muruganandam was the Additional Chief Secretary/Secretary-I to the Chief Minister prior to his appointment as the Chief Secretary.
Meanwhile, the government appointed Thoothukudi District Collector G.Lakshmipathy as
Joint Secretary to Chief Minister in a newly created post for a period of one year.
Mr K.Elambahavath, Director of Public Libraries was transferred and posted as the Thoothukudi District Collector.
