Washington: US billionaire Elon Musk said in a statement that his live interview with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has been disrupted by a massive DDOS attack and he’s working to resolve the issue.

“There appears to be a massive DDOS attack on X,” Musk said on Monday. “Working on shutting it down.”

Musk said the interview, which was set to begin at 8 p.m. ET, may only be available to a smaller number of live listeners but be posted online later when the conversation is over.

Many users have had issues joining the live interview on the X social media platform on Monday evening.

Over the weekend, the media reported that Iranian hackers had allegedly breached the Trump campaign’s network and stole some of its information. The FBI confirmed to Sputnik that it is investigating the matter.
