Naveen directs Odisha Revenue minister to visit train accident site in AP

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday directed Revenue and Disaster Management minister Sudam Marandi to visit Sunday’s train accident site in Andhra Pradesh and also meet the injured at hospital.

Official sources here said the Additional Special Relief Commissioner is also accompanying the minister.

Patnaik expressed deep grief over the death of 14 passengers in a train accident between Kantakapalli and Alamanda Station on Sunday and conveys his deep sympathy to the bereaved families.

The Chief Minister also wished speedy recovery of the injured passengers.

He has directed the SRC and collectors of Rayagada and Koraput to extend immediate help in rescue and relief operations.
