NIA crackdown on PFI: Raids on across Maha

Mumbai: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out searches at Abdul Wahid Shaikh’s Vikhroli residence in Mumbai suburb and also at various places across Maharashtra early in the morning on Wednesday.

The raid was conducted on the residential and office premises of the members suspected to have links with the PFI’s suspicious activities.

Presently, officials of the Central Agency, along with the local police, conducted raids at Thane, Pune, and other places.

In Mumbai, officials are conducting searches at the residence of Wahid Shaikh, who was acquitted in the 7/11 blast case.

According to sources, he is operating the organisation ‘Innocent Network,’ which is suspected to have links with the PFI .
