Nitish rewards 24 persons for providing inputs about sand mafias and illegal mining

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar rewarded the informers for tipping about sand mafias involved in illegal mining and pilferage of revenue.

Kumar gave the reward to 24 people in a programme organised here on Thursday under the Mines and Geology Department to honor the warriors who cooperated in action against mining mafias who steal revenue through illegal mining.

The CM gave Rs 10 thousand each to those who informed about trucks engaged in such activities and Rs 5 thousand to those who provided information about tractors.

The amount was transferred online to honour such warriors.

During the Mines and Geology Department Principal Secretary Narmadeshwar Lal apprised the Chief Minister about the latest activities of the Department and initiatives taken to check illegal sand mining.
