Our aim is to take healthcare to the door step of the people of Velim: Savio Rodrigues

With an aim to take healthcare to the door-step of the people of Velim, BJP spokesperson, Savio Rodrigues, through his NGO, Thomas Seva Foundation, conducted a free Multi-Speciality Health Camp at the Sao Jose De Areal Sports Complex in Velim. The health camp was supported by the doctors and nurses of Manipal Hospital, Imperial Hospital and ASG Eye Hospital.

Commenting on the health camp, Savio Rodrigues said, “Our aim is to see that the people of Velim get healthcare services at their doorstep. The free medical multi-speciality health camp is our second such camp in the last 30-days. We want people to live healthy, eat healthy and stay healthy”.

Renowned doctors, Dr Shekhar Salkar of Manipal Hospital and Dr Milind Dessai of Imperial Hospital, consulted with patients at the health camp. Other doctors present were Dr Sophie Rodrigues, Dr Sunny Kamat, Dr Sameer Kumar Nanavare, Dr Sushil Kumar Nanavare, Dr Janet Rodrigues and Dr Naveen Majjiga

“It is wonderful to work with Thomas Seva Foundation and Savio Rodrigues in their vision to provide a healthcare outreach in the Velim constituency. A medical camp gives people an opportunity to learn about certain illnesses and take necessary health-related precaution and measures”, expressed Dr Shekhar Salkar, Chief of Oncology Department, Manipal Hospital.

“It is wonderful to participate at the health camp organised by TSF and serve people as part of our CSR initiatives in Goa”, expressed Dr Milind Dessai.

Also present at the health camp was the Sarpanch of the Sao Jose De Areal Panchayat, Joyce Dias. She was seen participating at the health camp and undergoing different medical tests.

Over 200 people attended the medical health camp and got a free medical check up to detect different ailments related to the heart, lung, kidneys, teeth, brain, stomach, bones and eyes.
