PM congratulates ‘RRR’ movie team as ‘Naatu Naatu’ song wins ‘Golden Globes Award’

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated the entire team of ‘RRR’ movie for winning the prestigious ‘Golden Globes Award’ for the Best Original Song ‘Naatu Naatu’ at Los Angeles.

Modi taking to twitter said ‘A very special accomplishment! Compliments to @mmkeeravaani, Prem Rakshith, Kaala Bhairava, Chandrabose, @Rahulsipligunj.

I also congratulate @ssrajamouli, @tarak9999, @AlwaysRamCharan and the entire team of @RRRMovie.

This prestigious honour has made every Indian very proud,’ the PM said.

RRR created history at the Golden Globes 2023 by winning the Best Orginal Song for ‘Naatu Naatu’. The movie, starring Junior NTR and Ram Charan as real-life freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitaramaraju, is the first Indian film to win a Golden Globe, among Hollywood’s most prestigious.

Music composer MM Keeravani accepted the award in Los Angeles, saying he was happy the song had brought the attention of the international audience.

Taking to micro-blogging site twitter, former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said ‘Every Indian is proud of the global recognition for #NaatuNaatu song from #RRRMovie.

Heartiest congratulations to ace music composer, Keeravani Garu & RRR team for bagging the #GoldenGlobes2023 Award for the best original song!’, Naidu said.

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) National President N Chandrababu Naidu taking to micro-blogging site twitter said ‘Delighted to learn that @RRRMovie has won the #GoldenGlobes Award for Best Original Song! Congratulations to @mmkeeravaani, @ssrajamouli and the entire team! Absolutely proud!

Like I said earlier, Telugu has now become the language of Indian soft power. #NaatuNaatu #RRRMovie

Former Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar tweeted ‘Finally, the @goldenglobes recorgnised arrival of #Indiancinema on International stage.

Congratulations to team #RRR and ‘Naatu Naatu’ song for receiving the ‘Best Original Song’ award,’ Javadekar added.
