PM distributes over 51,000 appointment letters under Rozgar Mela

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday distributed over 51,000 appointment letters under Rozgar Mela scheme through conferencing.

The Rozgar melas on 40 locations have also been organised across the country for new recruits joining the Central Government across various Ministries and Departments, such as the Department of Revenue, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Defence, and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, among others.

Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “It is a matter of great joy to have handed over appointment letters for government jobs to 51 thousand youth in the employment fair. Best wishes to all the youth who are taking a step towards nation-building.”

He said appointment Letters have been given to lakhs of youth in BJP and NDA-ruled states and process will continue of giving permanent government jobs to lakhs of youth of the country.”

The Prime Minister also mentioned the Haryana government for offering job letters to the youth.

“Furthermore, it’s noteworthy that the newly formed government in Haryana has made an exemplary start by providing employment opportunities to around 26,000 youths,” he said.

The Prime Minister also mentioned the women’s achievements and hailed the Lakhpati Didis scheme, saying, “Our government aims to make 3 crore women the Lakpati Didis earning over Rs 1 lakh annually. Already, 1.25 crore women have achieved this milestone.”

He further added that our goal is to promote women’s economic independence and entrepreneurship in rural India.

“Our Lakpati Didi Yojana has empowered rural women with employment and self-employment opportunities,” he added.

The aim of “Rozgar Mela” is to increase employment opportunities throughout the country, in tune with the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’.
