Nagpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated Phase-I of Samruddhi Mahamarg”connecting Nagpur to Shirdi (distance of 520 kms).
The “Samruddhi Mahamarg” is a major step towards realising the Prime Minister’s vision of improved connectivity and infrastructure across the country.
Modi also inaugurated Phase-I of the Nagpur Metro rail project and took a ride in the train.
He laid the foundation stone of Phase-II of the metro project in the city.
He also flagged off Nagpur-Bilaspur “Vande Bharat Express”.
He then dedicated All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Nagpur to the nation.
The PM also laid the foundation stones of National Institute of One Health (NIOH), Nagpur and Nag river pollution abatement project.
During the same programme, the PM dedicated to nation the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET) at Chandrapur and also inaugurated Centre for Research Management and Control of Hemoglobinopathies at Chandrapur.
