Police arrest 3 foreign-based gangsters with arms & ammunition

Chandigarh: In a major breakthrough, AGTF Punjab have arrested three associates, Jobanjit Singh alias Joban, Bikramjit Singh alias Bikka, and Kulwinder Singh alias Kala, of terrorists, as well as Canada-based Lakbir Landa and Pak-based Harwinder Rinda.

DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav said on Wednesday, “Joban is wanted for UAPA, Arms Act, NDPS Act, and IT Act offences and has remained absconding for a long time. The accused, Joban and Bikka, are also wanted in more than 307 IPC cases. Two pistols and 10 live cartridges were recovered from them.”

He also said, “The preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused were carrying out criminal activities on the directions of their foreign handlers.”
