Official sources said that raids have been conducted in view of criminal conspiracy hatched by some terror groups operating allegedly on the directions of Pakistan and handlers across.

“The raids are being carried out in Poonch, Rajouri and Kishtwar districts of Jammu region,” they said.

Sources added that simultaneous raids are also underway at Srinagar, Anantnag and Kupwara districts of Kashmir region.

The raids however, come days after five Army jawans lost their lives in a gunfight with terrorists in Rajouri district on May 5.

Five Army soldiers earlier on April 20 were martyred in a terror attack in Poonch district.
