Post K’taka posts, MVA will discuss seat sharing for upcoming elections: Patole

Mumbai: Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) President Nana Patole on Monday clarified that after the Karnataka assembly elections, the constituent parties of the Mahavikas Aghadi will sit together and discuss the seat allocation for the upcoming assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Mr Patole who was on tour of Solapur and Satara districts from Monday and while talking to the media at Pandharpur,the Maha Vikas Alliance of three parties namely Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray is still strong in the state.

In the last three years, MVA has achieved great success in dusting the BJP. There is no disagreement about the allocation of seats in MVA, he said.

He further said the seat allocation will be discussed in the meeting of Mahavikas Aghadi in Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha wise. Solapur Lok Sabha seat belongs to Congress. Congress candidate has been contesting elections from this constituency for many years and the Congress party is standing strong in Solapur district explaining that this seat will remain with Congress, there is no factionalism in the district, everyone is working unitedly.

Young people are also participating in the Congress party in large numbers and with the blessings of the people, the Congress party will again perform well in the district,he said .

On the occasion of Sankasti Chaturthi , Mr Patole had darshan of lord Vitthal-Rukmini Monday.

Vitthal-Rukmini is the deity of the poor, common people, farmers, hardworking, laboring masses and also the goddess of Varkari sect.

He also prayed to protect Baliraja (Farmers) from untimely rains.

On this occasion, members of the Vitthal-Rukmini Temple Committee Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Jalgaonkar, Sudhir Maharaj Ghodke felicitated Mr Patole by presenting Tulsihar, Uparna and an idol of Vitthal-Rukmini.
