President Murmu, EAM send greetings on Israel’s 75th anniversary of independence

New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu congratulated her Israeli counterpart Isaac Herzog on the 75th anniversary of the independence of Israel, while External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar extended congratulations on the “momentous milestone” to his counterpart Eli Cohen.

In a tweet, President Murmu said:

“Excellency @Isaac_Herzog, on behalf of the government and people of India, I extend my heartiest congratulations for the 75th anniversary of independence of Israel.”

EAM in a tweet said that the real potential of the relationship is beginning to be realised over the last decade, with many more achievements on the anvil.

“Warmest congratulations for the momentous milestone of 75th anniversary of Independence, to FM @elicoh1, the Government and all Israelis.

“In the last decade, the real potential of our cooperation is beginning to be realised. Looking forward to many more achievements.”

The Israeli Foreign Minister in a tweet thanked EAM for the greetings, and in Hindi said that he will work with EAM to make the ties even stronger.

“Thank you, my dear friend @DrSJaishankar for your greetings.

“मैं हमारे देशों के बीच साझेदारी को और मजबूत करने के लिए आपके साथ मिलकर काम करने के लिए उत्सुक हूं |”

Israeli President Isaac Herzog sent a message to the Jewish world in honor of Israel’s 75th birthday.

“Shalom, dear friends from around the world! As Israel reaches a historic milestone — 75 years of independence! — we have the opportunity to pause and reflect with gratitude on the miracle that is our Jewish and democratic state.”
