As many as 709 degrees would be conferred during the event, which is to be held at the Dharamshala Degree College auditorium.

On Wednesday, Vice Chancellor Acharya Sat Prakash Bansal inspected the convocation venue and instructed university officials to ensure all necessary arrangements for the successful execution of the event.

University Registrar Prof. Suman Sharma, Dean Academic Prof. Pardeep Kumar, Dean Student Welfare Prof. Sunil Thakur, Controller of Examinations Prof. A.K. Mahajan and other teachers and officials accompanied him.

This is only the third time that a President is visiting the University for the convocation as a chief guest.

She also informed that the President honour the PhD, M.Phil, Gold Medal, Graduate, Postgraduate students and research scholars from various streams.

The Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shiv Pratap Shukla, will also be present as a special guest on the occasion.
