Putin congratulates Prez Murmu, PM Modi on Independence Day- Kremlin

Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a message of congratulation to Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of the country’s independence day, the Kremlin said on Thursday.

“Dear Madam President, Dear Prime Minister, please accept my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of India’s national holiday – Independence Day. Over 77 years of independent development, your country has achieved universally recognized successes in socio-economic, scientific, technical and many other fields, and has gained high prestige on the world stage. We value relations of a particularly privileged strategic partnership with India. I am confident that the consistent implementation of the agreements reached following our recent talks in Moscow will contribute to the further development of multifaceted Russian-Indian cooperation. This undoubtedly meets the interests of our friendly peoples and is in line with strengthening international stability and security,” the telegram read.
