New Delhi: Videos captured of noisy fistfights and physical assaults between two sides at the Hyde Park Society in Noida Sector 78, has gone viral.

The Thursday night videos show on camera, how allegations of a rigged society poll turned turbulent with hairs being pulled, slaps raining as yet another Noida society witnessed violence with residents and guards clashing.

The two groups of people supporting different candidates for post of Apartment Owners Association President of Noida’s Hyde Park society got into a clash with two women getting minor injuries, DCP Noida said adding that a complaint has been registered and two guards were detained.

This marks yet another episode of violence among residents, guards — engaging in physical assault.

Earlier this month, a food delivery person and a security guard engaged in a fight over entry into a housing society in Noida.

In another instance, a resident and a guard were arrested for fighting over a dog in a complex, when an infant was mauled to death by a stray dog in a Sector 100 housing society.

When dogcatchers came, doglovers of the gated community chased them away. The child’s parents as per reports were labourers working in the society.

On Thursday, videos on social media also showed how Noida’s Shrikant Tyagi, who was arrested in August on charges of abusing a woman, was welcomed to his housing society in Sector 93B.

In another case in September, a case was registered against a Noida woman after her video of slapping a housing society security guard went viral on social media. It was in the premises of the Cleo County Society in Phase 3, Kotwali area.

In August, a video of a man assaulting a lift man and security personnel surfaced on social media from Haryana’s Gurugram. The incident took place in Nirvana Country. The resident was caught on CCTV camera, slapping, abusing and manhandling a security guard and threatening the lift operator after he got stuck in one of the elevators.
