Road to Gangtok blocked due to heavy landslide

Gangtok: Traffic on National Highway 10, considered the lifeline of Sikkim, has been obstructed due to rain and landslide, officials said on Sunday.

The vehicles of travellers to Sikkim,have been diverted to other routes.

Those going to Bagdogra airpòrt and New Jalpaigudi, West Bengal to catch flight and train, have been diverted via Pakyong and other routes.

Landslides also damaged the road on 19th Mile.

The authorities have said work was on to repair the damage.
