- Indore/ Bhopal: Several devotees were trapped after the roof of an old Bawdi collapsed in a religious place complex in Indore on Thursday.
Efforts have been initiated to evacuate them.
CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken cognizance of the matter and directed the administration to evacuate the devotees safely.
According to official sources, the roof over the old Bawdi collapsed in a temple complex in Patel Nagar locally. Due to this, the devotees who came to the temple premises were trapped.
Some people are also reported to be injured. As soon as the information was received, divisional commissioner and collector also reached the spot and relief, and rescue operations are going on.
Arrangements have also been made to take the injured to the hospital.
Meanwhile, CM Chouhan discussed with senior officials of Indore over phone and asked them to further intensify relief and rescue operations.
