SC to hear on Mar 24, Delhi govt’s plea challenging appointment of ‘aldermen’

New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal government knocked the doors of the Supreme Court on Friday, challenging the appointment of ‘aldermen’ by the Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) in the MCD House.

On a mentioning by Aam Aadmi Party government in Friday, a bench of the Apex Court, heade by the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dr Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chandrachud, assured the Delhi government that their plea will be heard in court on March 24.

“We will hear it on March 24, Friday,” the CJI Dr Chandrachud said.
