Attempts at curbing the protest demonstrations carried out by women against the hijab in Iran are still going on, and doctors, who are treating the injured women protestors have claimed that the security forces are firing pellets at the women’s faces and delicate body parts on purpose. This is being done because such wounds remain for long periods of time. Many doctors and nurses are treating the protestors covertly. They are of the opinion that there are a lot of differences between the injuries of men and women.

The men have wounds on their backs apart from their eyes and limbs, the opposite of which is being done with women, by attacking their faces and delicate organs. The situation is such that women are feeling shy even to visit the hospitals, and they are treating themselves at their homes only.

Social workers have stated that till now, at least 11 people have received the death sentence, and human rights groups have claimed that under the cruel approach of the security forces against the protest demonstrations, more than 500 people, including 60 children have lost their lives. 18 thousand people have been taken into custody, and 80 protestors are facing the death sentence. After Thursday’s hanging, protests are being carried out with even more energy.

On the other hand, the Iranian administration has categorically stated that the police were controlling themselves till now, but will now deal with the protestors with an iron fist.
