Several explosions heard in Syrian capital Damascus

Damascus: Several explosions were heard on Wednesday night in what appeared to be a new Israeli missile attack targeting areas south of the Syrian capital Damascus, local media reported on Thursday.

The strikes hit an area near the Sayyida Zaynab suburb in the southern countryside of Damascus, according to eyewitnesses and the Sham FM radio.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said explosions were heard in the countryside of Damascus in tandem with the firing of Syrian air defence missiles.
