Special Parliament Session to be held from September 18 to 22

On Thursday, August 31, the government announced that the Parliament will sit for a special session from September 18 to 22, comprising five sittings. Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Prahlad Joshi, posted on X, ‘Special Session of Parliament (13th Session of 17th Lok Sabha and 261st Session of Rajya Sabha) is being called from 18th to 22nd September having 5 sittings. Amid Amrit Kaal looking forward to having fruitful discussions and debate in Parliament.’

Prior to this, the Monsoon Session of the Parliament had taken place from July 20 to August 11, with 17 sittings held over this period of 23 days.

It is important to note that there has been no official confirmation regarding the agenda of the five-day session.
