Helsinki: Sweden and the United States will sign a Defense Cooperation Agreement (DCA) on Tuesday, Swedish broadcaster SVT reported on Monday, citing sources.

In particular, the agreement is expected to give the United States access to Swedish military bases and the ability to store weapons in Sweden, the report said.

Swedish Defense Minister Pal Jonson is on an official visit to the US this week, the report read.

On October 31, the Finnish Foreign Ministry said that Helsinki and Washington completed the latest, fifth round of DCA negotiations. Finnish media reported that parliamentary approval was not expected by the end of 2023.
