Teams formed to nab accused in Saket Court firing incident: Delhi Police

New Delhi: A firing incident was on Friday morning reported at South Delhi’s Saket Court premises, Delhi Police said.

According to a senior police official, around 4-5 rounds were fired by a person who dressed up as a lawyer after he allegedly fled away from the back side of the canteen. A woman received three bullet injuries, two injuries in abdomen and one in hand, during the firing incident, she was immediately rushed to Max Saket hospital for treatment.

A hearing was scheduled today at Saket Court for which the victim and her lawyer had come.

The firing incident took place at around 10.30 am.

According to police, the man who allegedly fired at the court premises has been identified. The alleged perpetrator had lodged a 420 case against the victim.

The official said teams have been formed and activated to nab the accused. Currently the situation is normal at the Court.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal without naming anyone criticised the law and order situation in the national capital after the firing incident at Delhi’s Saket Court premises.

Kejriwal criticized the current Law & Order situation in the city and tweeted, “The law and order situation in Delhi has completely broken down. Instead of obstructing the work of others and doing dirty politics on everything, everyone should focus on their own work. And if he does not manage, then he should resign so that someone else can do it.”
