Hyderabad: Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has urged district Collectors to communicate closely with enumerators during the ongoing comprehensive household survey to address public concerns.

In a video conference with senior officials from the Secretariat on Saturday, Bhatti emphasised that after the completion of the house listing phase, a house-to-house survey begins today. “As the survey starts today, many people have questions. If Collectors engage regularly with enumerators, they can immediately understand and address these concerns,” he stated.

The Deputy CM instructed Collectors to relay public concerns to higher authorities, ensuring timely responses. He also encouraged officials to involve Ministers and MLAs in the survey activities more frequently.

Bhatti praised the team for successfully completing the house listing phase, noting that the questionnaire was well-designed and enumerators well-trained. He expressed confidence that the family survey would continue smoothly and succeed.

“This is the largest survey of its kind in the country, and its success hinges on our commitment,” he said, adding that the nation would be watching Telangana’s efforts closely. He highlighted that this survey would play a significant role in advancing progressive initiatives across the country.

Deputy CM Bhatti advised Collectors to pay attention to every detail and keep the Chief Secretary of the Planning Department and other officials informed to promptly resolve any issues. He also directed officials at all levels to conduct a broad awareness campaign for the survey, particularly in urban areas.

Chief Secretary Shantha Kumari, Principal Secretary of the Planning Department Sandeep Kumar Sultania, and other senior officials attended the meeting, an official statement said.
