Temple town Khajuraho shines with vibrance of Khajuraho International Film Festival

The ninth edition of the Khajuraho International Film Festival saw its successful culmination on Friday, December 22. This week-long event was kicked-off on Saturday, December 16, in this quaint town, renowned across the globe for its Hindu Mandirs, religious activities, and natural beauty.

This exuberant event was attended by many film directors, producers, and actors, including Manish Wadhwa, known for his role of Acharya Chanakya in popular daily soap, Chandragupta Maurya; Gulshan Grover; Jaya Prada; and Rekha Sharma.

On the last day of the event, revered Katha Vachak, Swami Chinmayanand Ji, also graced the occasion with his presence. Other personalities seen on the last day were Boney Kapoor, and popular politician Ramkrishna Kusmaria. All of them extended their well wishes for the festival, and appealed the audience to maintain the culture and civilizational values of the Bundelkhand region in the times to come.

Others from the film industry, who attended the event on the day of its culmination were Harish Bhimani, Suresh Sharma, and Sushmita Mukherjee Bundela.

The Khajuraho International Film Festival is being organized since the year 2015, and is the brainchild of actor, producer, politician, and civil activist, Raja Bundela. Through this mega event, Bundela, in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh government, for the last eight years, has been attempting to make wider way for the development of Khajuraho, and the film industry here. A crucial role in the same is being played by Bundela’s ‘Prayaas Productions’.
