Washington: US President Donald Trump is against nuclear weapons extending further east into Europe, Vice President JD Vance said in an interview.

“I haven’t talked to the president about that particular issue, but I would be shocked if he was supportive of nuclear weapons extending further east into Europe. We have got to be careful, Laura. We are playing literally with the lives of the future of human civilization,” Vance told Fox News host Laura Ingraham.

This was how he commented on the call by Polish President Andrzej Duda for Washington to move nuclear weapons from the territory of the United States or Western Europe to Poland.

In an interview with the Financial Times newspaper released on Thursday, Duda called on the US to move nuclear weapons from the United States or Western Europe to the Polish territory, as “it would be safer.”
