Washington: US President Donald Trump said on Friday that European leaders have no plan how to end the conflict in Ukraine while Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to see it settled.

“They [Europeans] are in a very unusual position. They don’t know how to end the war. I think I do know how to end the war,” Trump told reporters.

“I watched over the last week or so what’s going on in Europe. This thing could end up in World War 3 if we don’t get it [the conflict in Ukraine] settled,” the president added.
