Washington: Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Monday that he is ready to debate Vice President Kamala Harris or any other Democratic presidential candidate.

US President Joe Biden said earlier in the day that he would withdraw from the presidential race. Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to be the Democratic Party’s nominee for US president.

“I don’t know who I’m going to debate. So far, we haven’t determined who is going to be on that side. But I think whoever it is, I’d like to debate. Yeah, sure.” Trump told CBS News.

Trump in response to Biden’s decision said earlier in the day that his former rival was never fit to serve as US president, adding that the country has suffered greatly because of his presidency.
