Ankara: Turkiye has “neutralized” 942 “terrorists” since January, the country’s defense ministry said in a report on Thursday.

Turkish authorities often use the term “neutralized” to imply the “terrorists” in question surrendered or were killed or captured.

In addition, security forces have arrested another 347 “terrorists” in operations against illegal border crossings, according to the report.

Turkiye’s security forces have been conducting search-and-arrest operations against “terrorists” across the country and in neighboring Iraq and Syria for years.
