Washington: Two people, including a child, were injured in a shooting at an evangelical church in Texas, and the shooter was killed, Fox News reported on Monday, citing police.

A woman, armed with a long rifle and accompanied by a “small child, approximately 4 to 5 years old,” entered Lakewood Church in Houston and opened fire, the report said, citing police chief Troy Finner.

Police officers neutralised the woman at the scene, the report said, adding that the child was in critical condition.

The woman also threatened that she had a bomb; however, police officers did not find explosives either in her car or in her backpack, the report added.
