Mumbai: Once again there is alarming news for the farmers of the state as the India Meteorological Department(IMD) has warned of unseasonal rains in the state for the next four days from Wednesday onwards.
In central Maharashtra, hail warning has been issued for March 15 and 16 along with unseasonal rain, in which hailstorm has been predicted at some places in Dhule, Jalgaon and Nashak on March 15.
Meanwhile, chances of hailstorm have been predicted for Marathwada and Vidarbha on March 16 and 17.
The state is likely to see a drop in temperature from today onwards. It is predicted that the maximum temperature will drop by two to four degrees Celsius.
Light rain is also predicted at some places in Konkan. The IMD has predicted the possibility of light to moderate rain at isolated places with gale winds and thunder in Palghar district for the next two days.
Between March 14 to 16, there is a possibility of light to moderate rains with thunder and gale at isolated places in Palghar district, the harvested vegetables, fruits and Rabi crops should be harvested and kept in safe places. Newly planted fruit trees are likely to break down due to strong winds.
