Washington: New Directions Technologies has won a more than $111 million US Navy contract to supply engineering support services for missiles and sensor systems for weapons research and engineering at China Lake testing grounds, the Defense Department announced.
“New Directions Technologies [of] Ridgecrest, California is awarded an $111,409,699 …contract ….[that] provides engineering support services for system, test, and transition engineering and management analysis,” the Defense Department said in a press release on Thursday.
The company will provide engineering and expertise for weapons systems such as missiles and sensor systems for the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) Research and Engineering Department, the release said.
“Work will be performed in China Lake, California (70%); and Point Mugu, California (30%),” the release added.
The contract is scheduled to operate for five years and is expected to be completed in February 2029, according to the release.
