YS Vivekananda murder case: YSRCP MP files anticipatory bail petition in Telangana HC

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Kadapa Lok Sabha MP Y S Avinash Reddy on Monday filed an anticipatory bail petition in Telangana High Court in connection with the murder case of former Lok Sabha MP Y S Vivekananda Reddy.

The MP filed a lunch motion petition before the Chief Justice bench in the wake of CBI issuing a notice to him asking to appear Reddy at his office at 3 PM today.

The petition is likely to be heard by the CJ bench at 2.30 PM this afternoon.

Avinash Reddy had so far been interrogated four times on January 28, February 24, March 10, and March 14, by the CBI.

Avinash Reddy left for Hyderabad from Pulivendula along with Chandragiri MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy and YSRCP leaders and cadre.

The Supreme Court had directed the CBI to complete the investigation of Vivekananda Reddy murder case before April 30.

Y S Vivekananda Reddy, younger brother of late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekara Reddy, was brutally stabbed to death at his residence in Pulivendula of Kadapa district in March 2019.
