OGW module busted in sopore.

Srinagar : Today on 09 September 2022, at about 16:20 hours ,a joint naka was established by PC Sopore along with 22 RR and 179 CRPF at Gousiabad Chowk Chinkipora in the jurisdiction of PS Sopore.

During checking, a suspicious movement of two persons coming from Dangerpora towards Chinkipora was noted and were subsequently asked to stop, but they tried to flee from the spot, however were tactfully apprehended by the vigilant security forces at about 16:50 hours. Upon their personal search two grenades were recovered from their possession. During preliminary questioning, they revealed their identity as:

1. Shakir Akber Gojree
S/O Muhammad Akbar Gojree
R/O Kuloosa Bandipora and

2. Mohsin Wani
S/O Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani
R/O Chinad Baramulla

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the arrested persons are OGW`S of proscribed organization LeT and were in a constant search of an opportunity to carry out attacks on security forces and civilians. Accordingly case has been registered at Police station Sopore under relevant sections of law.

During the course of investigation apprehended OGWs further revealed names of other OGW associates which led to the arrest and recovery of further arms and ammuniton which includes one Chinese pistol, one pistol magazine, 7 live pistol rounds, 25 AK 47 rounds and explosive material.
The names of other OGWs are as follows:

1. Himayun Shariq
S/O Shariq Rasheed Dar
R/O Gousiabad Chinkipora Sopore and
2. Faizan Ashraf Wani
S/O Mohd Ashraf Wani
R/O Nadihal Rafiabad
Further investigation is going on.
