Ajit Pawar denies reports of being unhappy

Mumbai: Maharashtra State Legislative Assembly Opposition Leader Ajit Pawar on Monday denied media reports claiming that he was unhappy for not being allowed to speak at the party’s national meet held in New Delhi on Sunday.

Talking to media persons Monday, NCP leader clarified that Sunday’s meeting was at the national-level and party national leaders had to speak in this meeting.

As soon as the state party president, Jayant Patil started his speech, Mr Pawar left. Clarifying his stand, Mr Pawar said he went to washroom.

He further stated that there was no reason to be unhappy because party made Deputy chief minister and now state opposition leader, then why should I unhappy ,he stated.

He further said whenever the party’s national meeting was held, I never speak and if any state related matter, I always speak in such meetings,he clarified.

Actually, there was a time limitation, because before the 1500 hours all should have spoken.

Even, number of senior leaders like Sunil Tatkare,Vandana Chavan among others party leaders from out of state also could not speak due to shortage of time, Mr Pawar added.
