Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra enters Andhra Pradesh again

Kurnool: A day after exercising his vote in Congress presidential poll at Sanganakallu village in Karnataka’s Ballari district, Party leader and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra entered Andhra Pradesh again on Tuesday.

The yatra which will last till October 21, covering a distance of 119-kms in the state, reached Halaharvi under Aluru constituency this morning from neighbouring Karnataka.

Rahul continued his foot march from the Hanuman temple in Kshetragudi in this district.

The former Congress President was received by prominent Congress leaders from the state including Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) Chief S Sailajanath, N.Raghuveera Reddy and Telangana’s Nalgonda MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy.

On October 14, the Yatra led by Gandhi , who began on September 7, entered D Hirehal the (border of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka) in Anantapur district of AP from Karnataka.

After taking a break for the Presidential election yesterday, Rahul entered Andhra Pradesh and resumed his yatra again.

He will cover Aluru, Hatti Belagal and Munikurthi today before making a night halt at Chagi village in Adoni.

After four days, Rahul’s padayatra will again enter Karnataka state.

APCC made elaborate arrangements for the Bharat Jodo yatra.
