Hamirpur (HP): With the dissidence spreading fast in all parts of the state in the BJP camp after the announcement of the tickets for all the sixty-eight assembly seats, the All India BJP chief, JP Nadda who hails from Bilaspur district has come out openly to end the dissidence.

Nadda who reached his native village of Vijaypur in Bilaspur district Sunday hosted a lunch for the party workers of all the four assembly segments of the Bilaspur district and had close interaction with them.

He told them to end dissidence if any and work unitedly for achieving the Mission repeat 2022 to bring back the party to the power in the state.

Nadda arranged lunch for about 4000 party workers at his home. The aim is to register a victory in all four seats of their home district through the workers only. Nadda has called 10-10 workers from all four assembly constituencies at the booth level to his house.

On the pretext of lunch diplomacy, JP Nadda also put the responsibility of winning the election on the workers. Nadda will return to Delhi after Diwali. After this, he will come to Himachal for the election campaign on November 4.

Nadda, who reached Himachal for damage control, was also successful in persuading the rebels Jia Lal and Manohar Dhiman, who were angry over not getting tickets from Bilaspur and Sadar seats and had turned rebellious, while they were preparing to contest the elections as an independent candidate. It is being claimed that Nadda has managed to persuade both these angry leaders. Now it is to be seen whether these leaders withdraw their nomination on October 28 or not.

Meanwhile, the BJP is facing rebellion in the Badsar assembly segment of the Hamirpur district where a major section of the party is strongly opposed to giving ticket to Maya Sharma, wife of former MLA and the district BJP chief, Baldev Sharma.

Sanjeev Sharma, the elder brother of late Rakesh Babli held a meeting at Bijheri where a large number of men and women took part and served an ultimatum to the party high command to change the ticket by Monday failing which Sanjeev Sharma would be fielded as an independent candidate.

Vinod Thakur, another party leader and a close pal of the Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur is also upset with the granting of a party ticket to Maya Sharma. His supporters are also planning to field Thakur from the Badsar seat and a final decision to this effect would be taken on Monday.

In the Mewa (reserve) seat of Hamirpur the opponents of Dr. Anil Dhiman, who has been given a party ticket are actively busy giving him a jolt by supporting Pavan Kumar an independent candidate.

However, Dr. Dhiman is sitting happily with the announcement of former MLA, Kamlesh Kumari that she was a party worker and would support the candidature of Dr. Dhiman by working for him during the election campaign.

Nadda also got feedback from other top leaders of the party who have been sent on damage control missions in other parts of the state where party rebels have filed their nomination papers as independent candidates.

Meanwhile, people of the state are actively watching the situation with rapport attention as the elections come only after five years and they are to support a party that could help them to solve their problems.
