Jammu: Stating that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working tirelessly to fulfil dreams of tribals, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday urged not to fall for those people who are instigating for reservation.

“We recognize the critical role and contribution of tribal community in the development of J&K UT,” said Sinha while speaking at Janjatiya Samagam on the launch of week-long festivities on Janjatiya Gaurav Divas.

He said, “they (tribals) are prime mover of the progress. Tribal community is our moral compass and taught us the values of co-existence, oneness, harmony and sustainable living.”

“PM is working tirelessly to fulfil dreams of tribals. I urge people not to fall for those instigating people on reservation,” said Sinha adding, “Home Minister Amit Shah has assured Gujjars and other community’s interests will be protected and there will be no decrease in their quota even by one per cent.”

“The nation will forever be indebted to the bravery, courage and supreme sacrifice of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and other tribal icons,” he added.
