On Sunday, an airplane crash took place in Nepal, where 11 plane crashes have taken place from 2010 till now. On the other hand, there has been a constant decline in plane crashes in the last two decades across the globe. While back in 2000, 198 aircrafts crashed, till 2022, plane crashes reduced and fell down to 95 only, deaths went down 5 times as well.

It is crucial to know that half of the plane crashes around the world take place during take-offs or landings. With the analysis of statistics from 1983 till now, it has been found out that these times are the most sensitive for aircrafts and ground teams. Out of all the crashes taking place in the world, 78% take place in the cases of passenger flights and cargo transports alone. The reason behind 80% of the accidents was human mistakes, and in around 53%, it was the pilot’s fault.

As per the USA’s National Transport Safety Board, during the 90s, 9 flights crashed out of a total of 1 lakh, and this number has fallen down below 7 in this century. Private airlines remained ahead as far as crashes are concerned, but the numbers are not available because of lax rules and the accidents not being reported.
