Cong will continue to ‘fearlessly’ raise its voice on various issues: Priyanka

New Delhi: Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday attacked the BJP-led government at the Centre over Enforcement Directorate raids at various locations related to several leaders of its state unit of Chhattisgarh on Monday and said the party will continue to fearlessly raise its voice on various including inflation and unemployment.

“Prime Minister’s friend, Gautam Adani was accused of embezzlement through shell companies and many other serious allegations. But did you see any agency investigating this?” she asked.

Accusing the ruling BJP of unleashing the probe agency, the Congress leader in a series of tweets wrote, ” Agencies have been deployed to block the Congress plenary session and to muzzle the voices raised on the nexus between Modi ji and his friend.”

The Congress has been demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe on the Hindenburg Research report on Adani Group that alleged the Group had engaged in stock manipulation and accounting fraud scheme over the course of decades.

“The Congress will continue to fearlessly raise its voice on the issues of the country. In the plenary session, we will take a pledge to raise our voice against inflation, unemployment and corruption.”

She added, “You (government) cannot suppress the voice of the country by showing fear of puppet agencies.”

The Congress on Monday termed it as an act of “vendetta politics”.

The 85th Plenary Session of the Congress is scheduled to be held in Chhatisgarh’s Raipur from February 24 to 26.
