11 minutes of exercise daily reduces risk of heart ailments by 11 percent, cancer by 7 percent

Due to a busy schedule, people most of the times do not exercise even a bit, citing the lack of sufficient time for the same. But many studies have now revealed that this viewpoint shall be thought about once again. Just 11 minutes of daily, moderate to fast exercising can reduce the risk of death. This conclusion has been arrived at by Britain’s Cambridge University, based on the data of 196 studies, under which, 3 crore adults were supervised for 10 years on an average. This study has been published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine.

Normally, it is suggested to exercise for at least 150 minutes a week or 22 minutes daily, as a result of which, the overall risk of death due to any ailment gets reduced by 31 percent, the risk of death by heart ailments gets down by 29 percent, and the risk of death from cancer drops down by 15 percent. The chances of falling prey to a heart disease come down by 275, and those of cancer fall by 12 percent.

But recent studies show that even 11 minutes of daily exercise can reduce the risk of early death by 23 percent. Apart from this, the risk of heart ailments and that of cancer reduce by 17 percent and 7 percent, respectively. 11 minutes of daily exercise can avert 1 out of every 10 untimely deaths, and a drop of 10.9 percent in the cases of heart diseases and that of 5.2 percent in the cases of cancer can also be seen. Apart from this, it can also be beneficial to improve immunity, and to balance blood pressure levels and cholesterol levels.
