Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said the new India of 21st century is rapidly building modern infrastructure in every corner of the country.

Addressing a well attended public meeting at police parade grounds here, Modi said the inauguration and laying the foundation stones for the development projects worth over Rs. 11,000 crore today marks a special day for Telangana and these projects will boost connectivity and strengthen infrastructure in the state.

“I am pained that the Telangana government has been delaying the centre’s projects’, the PM said. However, Modi said the BJP-led NDA government will fulfill the dreams and aspirations of the people in Telangana.

The projects launched today in Telangana will further ‘Ease of Travel,’ ‘Ease of Living’ as well as ‘Ease of Doing Business’ in the state, Modi said in his 25-minutes speech.

The NDA government is moving ahead with the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’, the PM said.

Notably, in the last 9 years, about 70 kms of the Metro network has been laid in Hyderabad only,” he said.

In order that no one opens their corruption books, Opposition parties sought court’s protection from action against corruption but the court turned them back, the PM said.

The Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat train between Telangana-Andhra Pradesh, flagged off by him would develop tourism between two the two Telugu states, he added.

Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy and Railway Ashwini Vaishnaw were also present at the meeting.
